The important stuff
The full guidelines are available on the award website (www.womeninfinanceawards.com.au), but here are some key facts:
- Nominations close on Thursday 22 August. Finalists will be announced in The Adviser bulletin on Tuesday 24 September, with deserving winners announced at a glittering awards ceremony in Sydney on Friday 15 November.
- You’ll need to submit your entry via the award portal. Most categories comprise 4-6 questions, with answers strictly limited to 300 words each. As always, we recommend that you draft and finalise your entry in a Word document and only once you’re completely happy with it, cut and paste it into the portal.
- You’re allowed to also submit supporting documentation such as references, testimonials, statistics, media coverage and financial or business metrics and even third-party independent data reports to support your submission.
- For individual entries, award organisers also ‘encourage’ you (read, very strongly suggest!) that you submit two 30-second videos on the subject of ‘What has been the best moment of your career?’ and ‘What is next in your career?’ You’ll also need to organise a high res headshot image (at least 1MB) and a company logo for print publication.
Why should I enter these awards?
The Women in Finance Awards are some of the most prestigious in Australia’s annual award calendar.
Entering is an opportunity to recognise the women who are driving change in the finance industry. That could be you or someone else whose work you believe really needs to be shouted about. By entering, you can take the first step to being recognised at a national level and build a reputation for excellence.
Importantly, these awards will shine a more focused light on the good work that you and your colleagues do in the finance industry – and who knows what could be the outcome of such exposure!
