Peter Lenaghan
Pete Lenaghan is an experienced and respected proofreader, writer and editor who has been part of the Proof Communications team for two years.
Drawing on his extensive experience, Pete proofreads a wide range of client documents, including annual reports and sustainability reviews, sponsorship prospectuses, interim reports, climate disclosures and training modules. His commitment to clarity and meticulous attention to detail ensures every document is refined to the highest standard before it reaches the public.
His client list reflects the breadth of his expertise, including major corporations such as Charter Hall, Brambles, Mirvac, ASX Limited, Ord Minnett and Blackmores, alongside notable organisations such as SBS, IMB, LGBTIQ+ Health Australia, Deaf Connect and The Cram Foundation.
He is a veteran of Australian media, having served in a variety of roles at the ABC for over 14 years. Pete reported on a series of major events, including bushfires, floods, elections and nationally important issues. He has been a newsroom leader, helping colleagues to research, write and publish quality journalism. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from RMIT University.
As a consultant, Pete has led the development of crucial communications such as annual reports, corporate publications, media releases, case studies and social media. Ensuring the quality of these publications has supported clients to build trust with the public, tell their stories in an authoritative manner and demonstrate their expertise to broad audiences.
Pete has supported a range of corporate, government, community and for-purpose organisations to produce communications that are clear and meet each client’s needs. This has included organisations from across the spectrum of public and private businesses, as well as health, sporting, education and other for-purpose businesses.
He builds trust quickly with clients, provides wise advice and partners with them to produce excellent results with a minimum of fuss. He is an expert at taking complex information and finding simple ways to express it in a clear, concise manner.
Pete has two children and is heavily involved in his local community, serving for many years on the committee of the mighty Sandhurst Cricket Club in Bendigo.
