What is the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award?

Women who are making a positive impact or contributing to the prosperity of Australia’s agricultural and rural industries are encouraged to enter the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award. This is Australia’s leading award celebrating the leadership of women in Australia’s agricultural and rural industries, businesses and communities. The awards recognise female rural leaders with the drive and determination to lead and who manage the challenges of being a women in agribusiness, many of which are unique. The winner in each state and territory receives a $15,000 Westpac grant for their project, business or program, access to professional development opportunities and alumni networks. Each state and territory winner goes into a national final, with a national winner and runner up.

How to enter the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award

Writing an award entry for the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award takes time, so be prepared. The upsides outweigh the commitment of time, however. The coordinator will guide entrants through the application and give feedback on the project, program or business you are entering into the award.
